Benefit from the patented HW system for wall drying in Vienna
Our HW-Partner use our specially developed method for wall drying, in which specially developed, particularly resistant, sharpened, 1.5 mm thick stainless steel plates are driven into the masonry, overlapping at the sides to avoid any gaps.
This creates an impenetrable horizontal barrier in the masonry that prevents the capillary rise of moisture from the substrate. Such a mechanical horizontal barrier is generally regarded as the safest and long-term solution for damp walls.
Cutting and sealing in a single operation
Our HW partners dry out your walls in just one work step. Separating and insulating the masonry is possible in just one work step using the HW system. This means that wall drying is completed particularly quickly and your everyday life is not disrupted any longer than necessary.
Protects masonry and buildings
Our HW stainless steel plates are provided with arrowhead-like front edges, allowing them to be gently driven into the masonry. The flow of force in the wall is never interrupted - the stability of the building is not affected. The high impact rate of the pneumatic hammers used minimizes vibrations and shocks as far as possible. This prevents cracks and settlement damage in the masonry.
Versatile areas of application
The HW system is generally suitable for all buildings with a continuous bed joint. It can be used with a wide variety of building materials, including brick, tuff, sand-lime brick and natural stone. The process can be used in basements or living spaces, on interior and exterior walls, and in both old and new buildings. Our competent HW partners will advise you individually after an on-site assessment in Vienna, Lower Austria and other destinations.
Wall drying:
An investment in the present for the future
Wall drying using a HW system pays off in the short and long term:
Better indoor climate
Damp walls encourage the growth of mold and dry rot, which has a negative impact on the air we breathe and therefore our quality of life. By drying out walls, you can combat or prevent the development of various pests, create a pleasant indoor climate and protect your health. You also protect your furnishings and objects from moisture damage such as rust, mold and rot.
Reduced heating costs
Dry walls insulate interiors better than damp ones. Even a slight increase in the moisture content of the wall can drastically reduce the thermal insulation. Feeling cold and clammy is a typical sign of damp walls. By drying your walls, you can optimize the thermal insulation of your masonry, make optimum use of thermal energy and save considerably on heating costs.
Better optics
Wall drying and subsequent renovation will make your walls and facades shine in new splendor. As our HW horizontal barrier permanently prevents moisture build-up, you can enjoy your beautiful walls for many years to come. Say goodbye to falling plaster, unsightly dark stains and damp edges!
Increased property value
Last but not least, a building without damp walls and water damage has a higher market value. Dry walls are more stable than damp ones - by drying them out, you can restore the optimal statics of your building. In addition, damp walls are often a sign of other problems such as mold, poor thermal insulation or poor indoor air quality.
Renovating damp walls - clarifying the causes is the first step
Damp in walls is one of the most common reasons for refurbishment. Damp walls are a real nuisance for many homeowners, as remedial work on the surface is of no use - quite the opposite: barrier plaster can actually encourage the increase in moisture, as it restricts the evaporation of moisture from the surface of the wall. The water must be removed from deep within the masonry - this requires professional wall drying.
First of all, the cause of the damp in the walls must be clarified. In old buildings in Vienna and Lower Austria, there is usually no waterproofing or it is no longer intact.
The most important steps when draining walls: prevent the reintroduction of water by installing a barrier. Our Niro horizontal barrier forms an impenetrable barrier in the wall that prevents moisture from rising from the foundation. Whether in the cellar or in the living room - the wall simply dries out above the barrier.

How moisture gets into the masonry
The cause of damp walls is usually capillary rising damp. If the waterproofing is defective or non-existent, water rises from the subsoil into the masonry. As a rule, this is simply rainwater that seeps into the ground and then rises capillary in the wall over many years.
Bricks, sand-lime bricks, filler and many other building materials are porous. They contain tiny cavities that allow them to absorb water like a sponge. The water spreads capillary in the pores of the building materials and rises from the bottom to the top.
Brick in particular can absorb a relatively large amount of water due to its high porosity. However, plaster and filler can also absorb water and pass it on. It is therefore necessary to renovate the area below the horizontal barrier with a special plinth plaster. This guarantees that the walls are safely and permanently dry.
